The Trumpeter
$1,500.00Price
Original acrylic painting on canvas, 24" x 30" x 1.5", 2023.
At Manhattan’s 86th Street subway station, a trumpeter plays against a tiled wall. Dressed in a dark coat and cap, he stands beside his bags with the brass bell of his instrument catching the light. The station sign, a bright map, and an empty bench place him unmistakably in the New York City subway.
The Trumpeter finds a moment of artistry in an ordinary commute. Warm pinks and soft whites surround the musician, while his dark silhouette gives the scene its quiet strength. This original New York City painting is for collectors who love Manhattan street life, figurative art, and the people whose music makes the city their own.
