The Lovely Cobalt | Cobalt Blue Abstract Painting

Original oil painting on canvas, 42" x 42".

This cobalt blue abstract painting explores the commanding presence of blue alongside the warmth of peach, coral, and creamy white. Deep blue curves sweep through the composition, surrounding softer aqua passages and a broad band of warm color across the center. Fresh green and yellow-green accents bring unexpected flashes of brightness.

Layered, visible brushwork gives the interlocking forms a tactile quality. Rounded shapes expand, bend, and fold into one another, creating movement that can suggest the human body without defining a literal figure. The contrast between cool blues and warm flesh tones gives the painting both energy and intimacy.

At 42 inches square, the work offers an expansive exploration of color and organic form, inviting viewers to discover their own associations within its flowing composition.
