Santorini

Just before sunset, Santorini’s whitewashed buildings turn shades of blue and lavender beneath a deepening sky. A burst of crimson bougainvillea draws the eye through the layered architecture, bringing warmth to the cool evening light.

I painted this moment because the anticipation of sunset is part of the experience of Santorini. People gather for the view, but the island’s walls, shadows, and color are already putting on a show. At 54 inches square, Santorini makes that fleeting hour an immersive presence in a room.

The painting is signed on the front and back and comes with a certificate of authenticity. It ships rolled in a tube; a frame shop can stretch the canvas onto stretcher bars. The canvas sides are painted in a neutral tone to complement the painting.
