Pink Peonies

Original acrylic painting on canvas, 30" x 30" x 1.5", 2025.

Lush pink peonies bloom against a nearly black background, their layered petals catching light in shades of rose, lavender, and white. Tiny blossoms rise above them on fine stems, adding a delicate counterpoint to the fullness of the flowers below.

In Pink Peonies with Dark Background, I wanted the flowers to feel luminous and alive. Expressive brushwork gives each bloom its own shape and movement, while the dark space around them heightens their color. This original floral painting brings a striking, intimate presence to a room.
