Original oil painting on canvas, 36" x 48" x 1.5", 2026.

This white lily oil painting explores the flower’s symbolic connection to both life and death: the purity of new beginnings and the restored innocence of the soul upon passing. In funeral symbolism, white lilies express the belief that the departed soul returns to innocence, offering an image of peace and grace.

White blossoms unfold across a luminous turquoise background, their petals gently shaded with lavender. Green stems connect open flowers and emerging buds, while soft peach and yellow accents bring warmth to the composition. Expressive brushwork gives the lilies movement without diminishing their delicacy.

The painting holds the beauty of living and the tenderness of farewell together. Its flowers invite reflection on renewal, remembrance, and the hope of a peaceful transition beyond life.
