Lake Como

Original oil over acrylic painting on canvas, 18" x 14" x 1.5", 2022.
Sunlight slips through the trees and casts patterned shadows across a terrace overlooking Lake Como. Two weathered statues stand above a stone balustrade, framing a glimpse of blue water and distant hills. At the right, a warm-toned building with a terracotta roof completes the intimate Italian scene.
In Lake Como, I was drawn to the quiet elegance of this view: old stone, living branches, and the lake revealed between them. Expressive brushwork holds the shifting light and the feeling of discovering a place you want to stay a little longer.
