Rising Underwater depicts a woman moving upward beneath the surface, her fins guiding her ascent through calm blue water. This figurative acrylic painting on paper conveys quiet strength and balance, capturing the resilience that can emerge in moments of stillness.

Part of the Women’s Resilience series, the painting embodies calm determination and symbolic rebirth. The figure’s movement toward the light suggests self-possession and grace, while her fins evoke adaptability and focus, strength expressed through subtle, deliberate motion.

Layered blues and whites create a luminous underwater atmosphere, immersing the viewer in both serenity and endurance. Rising Underwater invites reflection on composure under pressure, personal renewal, and the quiet beauty of persistence. Its combination of contemporary figurative art, emotional depth, and social meaning makes it a compelling addition to a fine-art collection.
