Central Park Reverie

Original watercolor and gouache painting on 140 lb paper, 11" x 15", 2022.

Rowboats drift across a quiet Central Park lake beneath summer trees, while two pointed skyscrapers rise beyond the park’s edge. Layered watercolor washes and soft gouache bring an impressionistic quality to the scene, capturing the gentle movement of the boats and the stillness of the surrounding greenery.

This original Central Park painting explores the meeting of leisure and city life. Manhattan’s skyline remains close, yet the lake offers a moment of calm within New York City. An intimate work for collectors drawn to impressionistic cityscapes, summer landscapes, and the quieter places within an urban setting.
