Boating in Centrasl Park in the Fall

Original oil painting on canvas, 36" x 36" x 1.5", 2024.

Rowboats drift across the water in Central Park, surrounded by trees turning yellow, orange, and green. Above the foliage, the twin towers of the San Remo rise against a clear blue sky, placing this autumn scene unmistakably in Manhattan.

In Boating in the Park in the Fall, Carolynne Fromme uses expressive, impressionistic brushwork to capture the light on the water and the pleasure of an afternoon outdoors. This original Central Park painting brings together the warmth of fall, the quiet movement of the boats, and New York City’s familiar skyline.
